    E-commerce Sales Position Burlington  Vermont

     ReSOURCE is an innovative non-profit with a mission to meet community and individual needs through (1) education and job skills training, (2) environmental stewardship, and (3) economic opportunities. Its operations are largely funded through reuse sales. The e-Commerce Specialist supports reuse by selling goods on online marketplaces including but not limited to eBay and Craigslist.
     
    This is a non-exempt position that reports to the IT Manager.
     
    Goals of Position
    ·         Maintain a well run, professional, online sales profile.
    ·         Maximize reuse and revenue through online sales by selecting appropriate items to sell and maintaining listings.
    ·         Teach trainees excellent technical skills and other broad and transferable job skills.
    ·         Deliver excellent customer service and support to online customers.

     
    Position Responsibilities
    Online Sales
    ·         Research pricing for items in preparation for sale.
    ·         List products on ReSOURCE’s eBay and Craigslist Seller accounts.
    ·         Manage the health of ReSOURCE’s Seller Accounts, including seller feedback, reviews, and customer service.
    ·         Monitor the health of our product reviews and respond to feedback and comments.
    ·         Proactively resolve issues that could impact our 100% positive seller rating.
    ·         Improve feedback conversion rates.
    ·         Proactively solicit positive feedbacks and reviews.
    ·         Monitor the Q&A sections on product pages and respond accordingly.
    ·         Report on feedback and review trends to upper management.
    ·         Answer daily messages from eBay and Craigslist.

    ·         Securely pack and ship items in a timely manner.

    Description:
    ReSOURCE’s Development and Marketing Department offers the opportunity for an energetic individual interested in fundraising, marketing, and organizational development to gain hands-on experience in a thriving nonprofit organization.
     
    Interns will assist in the following areas:
    •Fundraising campaigns and event planning
    •Outreach and guerilla marketing to colleges and universities
    •Connect with local businesses to organize donation “round-ups”

    Employment and Transition Support Internship Burlington  Vermont
    Description:
    ReSOURCE’s training programs are responsible for preparing individuals for job success through direct hands-on work experience, and classroom education. Primary responsibilities for this position will be to support and assist the Employment and Transition Coordinator in the work of finding work experience and employment opportunities for trainees in our programs.
     
    Interns will assist in the following areas:
    •Outreach to area employers and organizations
    •Researching and compiling job postings relevant to trainees interests
    •Various administrative tasks including occasional form creation or updating
    •Researching and providing summary briefs on training related topics
    •Assisting trainers in teaching job hunting, resume writing, and interview techniques
    •Assist in matching trainees with job shadows

    Description:
    ReSOURCE's Human Resources internship is an incredible opportunity to gain real-world experience in the human resources field and in non-profit administration.  Depending on department needs and interests and abilities, the intern will hone many skills by working both independently and with staff.
     
    Intern Responsibilities & Potential Projects:
    •Improving our on boarding process.
    •Organization of current HR records.
    •Occasional policy research.
    •Assist with creating trainings for staff and AmeriCorps members.

    Website Upgrade Project Management Internship Burlington  Vermont
    Description:
    ReSOURCE's mission is to meet community and individual needs through education and job skills training, environmental stewardship, and economic opportunities. We are looking for a highly motivated intern to work in collaboration with our Development and Operations Directors to help facilitate the new design of the organization's website. The Website Upgrade Project Management Intern will work with store managers and department heads to create content and structure for a completely revamped website.
     
    Interns main responsibilities will be:
    •Interview store managers, department heads, and relevant staff to determine the organization's overall needs for web pages, links, and connectivity
    •Learn ReSOURCE's mission and programs to fully understand potential uses for the website
    •Research website possibilities and trends - determine what forms, styles, graphics, and methods are most effective
    •Provide project management support and administrative support as needed to the Development and Operations Directors in relation to the project
    •Communicate with outside agencies and partners including, but not limited to, graphic designers, marketing firms, and website designer/coder hired by ReSOURCE to launch the new website
    •Write content, choose & edit images, design page layouts, and create graphics
    •Determine the design and final product with the Development and Operations Directors
    •Create a final package of design and all materials to present to the designer/coder
     
    Time Commitment:
    This project will run through the Spring, with targeted completion of the project by the end of April. The intern will work approximately ten hours per week, with a computer and software available in the ReSOURCE headquarters and some remote (off-site) work hours possible.
     
    ReSOURCE will work with the intern and her/his instructors to receive college intern/practicum credit, if available, and will provide technical instruction, work experience, and mentoring.
     
    Requirements/Qualifications:
    College coursework and experience in marketing & design, business management, and project management is preferred. Knowledge of website deign and advanced graphics software a plus.
     
     
    SQL/MS Access Development Internship Burlington  Vermont
    Description:
    ReSOURCE is an innovative non-profit organization with the mission of waste reduction, job skill training and poverty relief.  Its operations are largely funded through its reuse operations. We are seeking a motivated intern to assist us in improving and upgrading ReSOURCE's database.
     
    The SQL/MS Access Development Intern should have visual basic programming, SQL server, and MS Access database experience to contribute to our upgrade, in collaboration with in-house and external database consultations. 
     
    Interns will assist in the following areas:
    •Contribute to upgrades and improvements on ReSOURCE's databases used to manage inventory, people, time, point of sale, trainees, and program outcomes
    •Help improve forms and add ease of use, as well as improve other functionality features, to develop and expand management reports
    •Work alongside ReSOURCE employees and outside database experts
    •Work independently on programming and query writing
    •Maintaining and improving our Social Media presence

    The Every Body Works Program addresses our community needs of higher unemployment and poverty. It provides work based learning and opportunities for youth and adults with disabilities.
     
    This is a full-time AmeriCorps position requiring 1700 hours over 12 months. This position is supervised by the AmeriCorps EveryBody Works Program Director and is based out of the ReSOURCE office in Burlington, Vermont. This position is 100% grant funded and is dependent upon successfully securing funding from the Corporation of National and Community Service. Funding for this program and position is expected September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2018.
     
    This AmeriCorps leadership position will provide leadership and mentorship to AmeriCorps members enrolled in the EveryBody Works program, will coordinate service projects including National Days of Service for members in communities throughout Vermont  and will collaborate with other AmeriCorps programs on these service projects. Leadership experience, AmeriCorps or National Service, past work with youth or adults with disabilities and travel to service sites within Vermont is required.

    Training Assistant Responsibilities
    * Facilitate career portfolio development for students.
    * Track time worked and ensure accurate timeclock entries.
    * Plan program events and graduations.
    * Lead applicant orientation sessions.
    * Coordinate annual Volunteer Appreciation events.
    * Coordinate daily student assignments with department staff to ensure students are making progress toward goals.
     
    Minimum Qualifications
    * High school diploma.
    * Extensive knowledge of local community resources and services.
    * Knowledge of principles in communication, organization, management and administrative functions.
    * Possess excellent teamwork and communications skills and a willingness to use them with a variety of audiences.

    Pay & Benefits
