YouthBuild graduation is coming up soon, which means a group of students have completed the program and will be moving on, pursuing the goals they’ve been working on. Autumn, a soon-to-be graduate of YouthBuild, is rounding out her time with YouthBuild doing Work Experience in our Burlington store.
Autumn came to YouthBuild in 2017, where she’s since gained tons of experience and grown a lot. In February, she presented her capstone project, a ten-minute lesson on the subject of secret societies around the country and their histories. For MLK Day, she was present and extremely helpful during the building of the little free libraries in Winooski. She spent time working with volunteers and directing them and helping them during the construction with a smile the whole time. She’s been a great example of leadership during her time with YouthBuild, and we know she’ll go on to do great things.
She’s already begun working part time in the Burlington location at 339 Pine Street, which she says she’s enjoying a lot. Next time you stop by 339 Pine, say hi to Autumn!
